MBI conducts Biblical courses on the premises of the Memorial Church of
Christ in Houston, TX. We partner with the Sunset International Bible
Institute (SIBI), from Lubbock, TX, and with Heritage Christian
University (HCU), from Florence, AL, to provide our students with some
of the very best Bible Class material available.
OUR STUDENTSAll
classes are held at the Memorial Church of Christ,
900 Echo Lane,
Houston, TX 77024 (click for directions). Distance learning is not yet available. Classes
are available for everyone. We welcome people from the local community
and from members of our own congregation; In fact, we welcome anyone
who has a desire to study scripture.
OUR VISIONMBI
strives to create a worthwhile, challenging, and practical learning
environment which will equip students with the knowledge, attitudes,
vision, and skills to come closer to God, and grow in the knowledge of
His will.
STUDY OBJECTIVESStudents may take any of
our courses just for the pleasure of study. We warmly welcome people
who just want to learn without having to worry about examinations and
having to submit papers. If your wish is to come and just soak up what
is on offer, MBI is the place you need to be.
You may wish to obtain
a certificate from MBI for the courses you take. To do that, you need
to attend a minimum number of lessons, complete some reading and take
quizzes set by MBI.
In addition, you can take course for credit
through the Sunset International Bible Institute (SIBI) where
appropriate. These courses normally require the student to complete
set reading, memorize some verses of scripture, and successfully pass
SIBI’s written tests.
